It works well to keep the sun off my head and neck. \u00a0Like most of the hats above, my hat is made of polyester, has an adjustable elastic drawcord in the Band, and has a chin strap.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nice thing about these hats is that they are foldable, and you can store them fairly easily, either flay like a Frisbee or fold them, although the brim may be hard to get back in shape after you unpack it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also fold the brim into different shapes to suit your desire. Here you see, my hat brim is twisted down a bit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/helpshoe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/IMG_20210512_190959560.jpg\" alt=\"wearing hiking hat\" title=\"wearing hiking hat\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>I recommend using a bucket hat on sunny hots days and on days when you will be out in the sun for long periods. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can soak your hat in the water and let it cool you off while you are in the sun. Some of the hats above are water-resistant, so I&#8217;m not sure how good it would be to do this, but I would likely try to do it on a hot hiking day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then it will dry off fairly quickly in the sun.
